Digital Arts and Design International Conference and Exhibition
Silpakorn International Centre was honored to have the President of Silpakorn University preside over the opening ceremony of the “Digital Arts and Design International Conference and Exhibition” on Thursday, 28 November 2024, at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok. This event was organized in collaboration with Birmingham City University (BCU), United Kingdom, serving as a platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, and fostering academic collaboration at both regional and international levels. The conference featured presentations of academic and creative works by participants from nine countries, including the Republic of Austria, the United Kingdom, the People’s Republic of China, and other countries in the Asian region. Silpakorn International Centre extends its gratitude to Silpakorn University and Silpakorn International College for their support in organizing this event. It is sincerely hoped that this conference will contribute to advancing Silpakorn University’s position in the QS World University Rankings.

Silpakorn University Joins 8th Thailand Education Fair in Myanmar to Promote International Collaboration
Silpakorn International Centre and Silpakorn University International College participated in the 8th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar), held in Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, from 17 to 18 November 2024. The event was co-organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Myanmar and the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand. As part of Silpakorn University’s international image management strategy, the university aimed to enhance its global recognition and promote its academic programs to an international audience, particularly focusing on increasing the enrollment of international students. The event attracted students, educational organizations, leading universities in Myanmar, and over 30 participating universities from various countries.

Silpakorn University Explores Academic Collaboration with Huangshan University, China
On Monday, 18 November 2024, Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Prasopchai Patrojanasophon, Vice President for Research; Assistant Professor Chombhak Klangrahad, Dean of Silpakorn University International College; Assistant Professor Dr. Nattana Leelaharattanarak, Deputy Dean for Educational Management of the Faculty of Management Science; Mr. Chalermpol Phumpaung, Assistant Dean for Educational Management of the Faculty of Management Science; Mr. Wissawas Thongteerapharb, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs of Silpakorn University International College; Mr. Robert McKenzie, Deputy Director of Vatel Thailand; and Mr. Xin Qi, Faculty Member of Silpakorn University International College, warmly welcomed Mr. Fang Huiping, Director/Professor of the Academic Affairs Office at Huangshan University (HSU), along with a delegation of three representatives from the People’s Republic of China. The meeting, held in Room 401, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus, focused on discussions regarding academic collaboration, teaching and learning initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, and potential joint research projects.

Silpakorn University Discusses Future Collaborations with Tokyo University of the Arts
On Tuesday, 22 October 2024, Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, together with Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Vichaya Mukdamanee, Dean of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts, Associate Professor Arwin Intrungsi, Dean of the Faculty of Decorative Arts, Assistant Professor Wootichai Lertsatakit, Dean of the Faculty of Music, Assistant Professor Dr. Veerawat Sirivesmas, Deputy Dean of Research and International Affairs of the Faculty of Decorative Arts, and Professor Dr. Chaiyosh Isavorapant, Faculty Member of the Department of Art Theory, Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts, warmly welcomed the President, Vice President for International Affairs, and Mr. Ryusuke Kido from Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan. The meeting, held in Room 414, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus, aimed to discuss potential areas of collaboration in the future. Key topics included plans for joint academic programs, a collaborative Summer School project, and furthering the existing partnership between the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts. The partnership has included initiatives such as the Double Degree program and other cooperative projects.

Silpakorn University Showcases International Programs at Vietnam International Education Fair 2024
Silpakorn International Centre and Silpakorn University International College participated in the Vietnam International Education Fair 2024 held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from 25 to 29 September 2024. This initiative was part of Silpakorn University’s international image management strategy, aimed at promoting the university’s global recognition and showcasing its academic programs abroad. The primary objective was to enhance international visibility and increase the enrollment of international students. The event attracted Vietnamese youth from various cities, leading universities in Vietnam, and over 50 participating universities from around the world.

The MOU Signing Ceremony between Silpakorn University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia
On 13 September 2024, Silpakorn International Centre held the MOU signing ceremony between Silpakorn University and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) at Office of the President, Silpakorn University (Talingchan campus). The ceremony was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, and Dr. Thanatorn Jiarakun, Dean of Faculty of Decorative Arts, who signed the MOU along with Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Rusmadiah Anwar, Dean (Academic & International) of College of Creative Arts, representing UiTM. A special lecture was also delivered to graduate and doctoral students in Design Arts at Silpakorn International Centre. Silpakorn University has initiated and established this MOU with UiTM since 2003, and this signing ceremony marks a three-year renewal of the MOU. The collaboration aims to promote mutual understanding in academic fields, culture, scientific concepts, art, and personnel exchange.
