The Faculty of Archeology, Silpakorn University, held a short course entitled “Follow the route in Lopburi – Ayutthaya according to Buppesannivas (Love Destiny, a Thai period drama)”. The course aimed to increase the general public’s understanding of history, handcrafts and culture from the historical areas of Lopburi and Ayutthaya.
The project was held on April 29th , 2018 and included 50 participants in total. There were academic lecturers at historically important sites, such as Wat Phra Sri Ratana Mahathat ( Lopburi province ), Somdet Phra Narai National Museum, the Royal House for the reception of ambassador (Ban Wichayen), Wat Ayothaya (Derm Temple), Chao Sam Phraya National Museum, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram. Four expert lecturers narrated the historical stories including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rungrot Thamrungraeng, Asst.Prof.Dr. Prabhassara Chuvichean, Asst.Prof.Dr. Rongroj Piromanukul and Ms. Chanvir Somprida who writes under the pen name Rom Phaeng and who is the author of Buppesannivas (Love Destiny) which was the inspiration for this academic excursion.
