Silpa Bhirasri National Museum

Professor Silpa Bhirasri or Corrado Feroci was an Italian-born in Florence. He was a selected sculpture to work in Department of Fine Arts in the reign of King Rama VI in 1923. By the time, Thai Arts were kind of traditional such as Lai Thai. Prof. Silpa Bhirasri designed and made most of the monuments in Thailand. He also grounded Thai modern art study aimed to equalize western arts. He founded Silpakorn School which later became Silpakorn University.

He also established the first National Art Exhibition and published art articles that were valuable to modern art in Thailand. Before his death in 1962, he was a special commissioner, a professor and an associate Dean of the faculty of painting and sculpture, Silpakorn University.

With the highest gratitude, his office room is preserved as Silpa Bhirasri National Museum displaying a permanent exhibition ; showing his biography,  artworks in his day and his belonging such as pieces of equipment, books and communication tools.
