MOCA: Museum of Contemporary Art

This Museum collects and preserves the history of Thai arts and was based on traditional culture and knowledge of western art introduced and established by professor Silpa Bhirasri, a Florentian sculpture from Italy. The exhibits have been based on contemporary Thai art which is internationally accepted. Showcasing visual arts masterpieces from various generations of artists.

Opening hours:

  • Tuesday-Friday from 10.00 am – 05.00 pm.
  • Saturday-Sunday from 11.00 am – 06.00 pm (closed on Mondays)

Admission fee:

  • 250 Baht for adults
  • 100 Baht for students with ID (grade 7 and over)

Tooney Venue Toy Museum

Tooney Museum or Tooney Venue is a museum that collects toys and models and has more than 50,000 pieces. This Museum’s concept is that toys do
not only give children happiness but also develop and improve children’s learning skill and “DQ” or discovery quotient.

  • Friday to Sunday from 10.00 am – 09.00 pm

Admission fee:

  • 150 Baht for Adults
  • 100 Baht for children
  • Free for children under 90 cm. height

Ko Kret

This Mon people settlement tourist attraction is famous for pottery, culture and folk traditions. There are many activities to do on the island such as cycling, temple visits, rural lifestyle observation, making terracotta pots or relaxing by the river.

 

House of Thai Classical Music Composer Montri Tramote Museum

This two-storey wooden house was occupied by Montri Tramote during his sunset years. He was the first generation of Thai National performing art Artists.
(Thai music) in 1985 he was also named a 5-reign artist. Montri Tramote was professional in both Thai music theory and performance. His 200 composed pieces cover many genres of Thai music and each was arranged beautifully. He was praised as “a great Thai music composer”
Inside the house is an exhibition showcasing his biography and his first original manuscript completed at the age of 20, his last manuscript completed at the age of 91, and his belongings. Traditional Thai music classes are held every weekend.
