Silpakorn International Centre and Silpakorn University International College, participated in the “Malaysia Education Fair 2024” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, During 11 – 12 January 2025. This event was part of Silpakorn University’s strategic plan to enhance its international image. The objectives were to promote Silpakorn University on a global scale and to publicize its academic programs abroad, with a focus on increasing the number of international students. The fair was attended by over 10,000 students from various institutions, along with more than 30 booths representing leading universities from Malaysia and other countries.    

Silpakorn International Centre was honored by Professor Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, Ph.D., President, who presided over the opening ceremony of the “International Day” event on Friday 10 January 2025 at Silpakorn International Centre, Silpakorn University, 2nd floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan. The event was organized with the aim of providing a valuable learning experience for international students at Silpakorn University through the “Thai Night” activities. The goal was to foster relationships, exchange cultural knowledge, and engage in various collaborative activities. The event received cooperation from academic faculties in participating in these activities. Silpakorn International Centre would like to express its gratitude to the faculties and Assistant Professor Sompid Kattiyapikul, Ph.D., Advisor to Silpakorn International Centre, for their support in making this event a success. This event marks the important step of Silpakorn International Centre in providing services and supporting the internationalization of the university (International Support Services).    

On Wednesday 8 January 2025, Associate Professor Prasopchai Patrojanasophon, Ph.D., Vice President for Research; Assistant Professor Boonnada Pamornpathomkul, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Research; Dr. Parinya Roonpho, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Associate Professor Apiradee Kasemsook, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Architecture; Assistant Professor Damrongphon Inchan, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Archaeology; Associate Professor Warangkana Nibhatsukit, Ph.D, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, along with executives from the Faculty of Arts; Professor Pornsak Sriamornsak, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Assistant Professor Nathaporn Karnjanapoomi, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, extended a warm welcome to Prof. James Robson, Director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, and Prof. Michael Herzfeld, Ernest E. Monrad Professor of the Social Sciences Emeritus, Department of Anthropology, Harvard University, USA. The welcoming ceremony took place at Conference Room 401, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus, during their visit to Silpakorn University to promote the institute and its scholarship programs. Silpakorn International Centre was honored to have the President of Silpakorn University preside over the opening ceremony of the “Digital Arts and Design International Conference and Exhibition” on Thursday, 28 November 2024, at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Bangkok. This event was organized in collaboration with Birmingham City University (BCU), United Kingdom, serving as a platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, and fostering academic collaboration at both regional and international levels. The conference featured presentations of academic and creative works by participants from nine countries, including the Republic of Austria, the United Kingdom, the People’s Republic of China, and other countries in the Asian region. Silpakorn International Centre extends its gratitude to Silpakorn University and Silpakorn International College for their support in organizing this event. It is sincerely hoped that this conference will contribute to advancing Silpakorn University’s position in the QS World University Rankings.      

Silpakorn International Centre and Silpakorn University International College participated in the 8th Thailand Education Fair (Myanmar), held in Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, from 17 to 18 November 2024. The event was co-organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Myanmar and the Association of Myanmar Alumni from Universities in Thailand. As part of Silpakorn University’s international image management strategy, the university aimed to enhance its global recognition and promote its academic programs to an international audience, particularly focusing on increasing the enrollment of international students. The event attracted students, educational organizations, leading universities in Myanmar, and over 30 participating universities from various countries.    

On Monday, 18 November 2024, Professor Dr. Tanasait Ngawhirunpat, President of Silpakorn University, along with Associate Professor Dr. Prasopchai Patrojanasophon, Vice President for Research; Assistant Professor Chombhak Klangrahad, Dean of Silpakorn University International College; Assistant Professor Dr. Nattana Leelaharattanarak, Deputy Dean for Educational Management of the Faculty of Management Science; Mr. Chalermpol Phumpaung, Assistant Dean for Educational Management of the Faculty of Management Science; Mr. Wissawas Thongteerapharb, Assistant Dean for Special Affairs of Silpakorn University International College; Mr. Robert McKenzie, Deputy Director of Vatel Thailand; and Mr. Xin Qi, Faculty Member of Silpakorn University International College, warmly welcomed Mr. Fang Huiping, Director/Professor of the Academic Affairs Office at Huangshan University (HSU), along with a delegation of three representatives from the People’s Republic of China. The meeting, held in Room 401, 4th Floor, Office of the President, Taling Chan Campus, focused on discussions regarding academic collaboration, teaching and learning initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, and potential joint research projects.
