B.F.A. in Digital Communication Design

1.   Those holdings a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade point average of 2.50. Applicants who do not meet such requirement may however, be admitted to the program at the discretion of the Program Coordinating Committee under certain circumstances and conditions.

2.   Applicants must be very fluent in the use of English language and passed proficiency test according to the requirements of the Program Coordinating Committee.

3.   All applicants must meet qualification requirements specified under of Silpakorn University Graduate Studies Regulations 2007 and/or its subsequent amendments.

1.   An applicant must complete a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an academic institute accredited by Ministry of Education, Royal Thai Government (or has been approved by the SUIC Executive Committee/Board of Graduate Studies);

2.   An applicant must achieve a minimum GPA of 2.75 or obtain a minimum of two (2) years working experience in related field (or has been approved by the SUIC Executive Committee/Board of Graduate Studies).

English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 500 PBT, 173 CBT or 61 IBT or IELTS score of 5.5 score of 450 within 2 years before the application or pass SUIC English proficiency test.  Applicants who are citizens from English speaking countries and use English as their primary language are exempt from the English language requirements.
Doctoral degree Faculty of Architecture
1.    Applicants can be identified under the following types of study plans according to their qualifications:

Plan 1.1 : Those holdings a master’s degree in Architectural Heritage Management and Tourism from Silpakorn University, with a minimum grade point average of 3.20 or have a minimum of 2 years working experience after graduation.

Plan 1.2: Those holdings a bachelor’s degree with first-class honors plus a minimum of 2 years working experience after graduation, or have profound knowledge and extensive practical experience in a field related to this program

Submit a certificate of English proficiency with minimum admission score:

TOEFL (paper based)  – at least 500

TOEFL (computer based)  – at least 173

TOEFL (internet based) – at least 61

IELTS – at least 5.5

TOEIC – at least 625

CUTEP – at least 60

TU-GET – at least 450

SEPT (Silpakorn English Proficiency Test)  – at least 60

depending on the discretion of the program/admission committee.

Plan 2.1: Those holdings a master’s degree with minimum grade point average of 3.00

Plan 2.2:

(1)   Those holdings a bachelor’s degree with grade point average of 3.20 plus not less than 2 years working experience in a field related to this program, or a bachelor’s degree with extensive knowledge and practical experience in a field related to this program, or-

(2)   A student currently studying for a master’s degree in Architectural Heritage Management and Tourism at Silpakorn University and has complete a minimum of 24 credits with grade point average of not less than 3.50 is eligible to apply for a transfer to this plan at the discretion of the program coordinating committee.

2.   All applicants must meet qualification requirements specified under of Silpakorn University Graduate Studies Regulations 2007.

3.   Applicants must be very proficient the use of English language.

1.    Type 1 (Thesis)

Type 1.1 Thesis equivalent to 48 credits

Graduates of a master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics or related fields, with a GPA of 3.25 or higher, or by department’s approval

Type 1.2 Thesis equivalent to 72 credits

Graduates of a bachelor’s degree with honors in science or equivalent in mathematics or related fields

2.    Type 2 (Thesis and additional courses)

Type 2.1 Thesis equivalent to 36 credits and additional courses not less than 15 credits. Graduates of a master’s degree or equivalent in mathematics or related fields

Type 2.2 Thesis equivalent to 48 credits and additional courses no less than 27 credits. Graduates of a bachelor’s degree with first-class honors or equivalent in mathematics or related fields

Candidates must pass an English test  equivalent to a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper based), 173 (computer based) or 61 (internet based), or a minimum IELTS scores of 5.0, and the test must be taken no more than 2 years prior to the first date of program attendance. The eligible candidates may be allowed to use CU-TEP or TU-GET scores, at the minimum scores of 500 or 550 respectively, taken no more than 2 years prior to the first date of program attendance, for their proof of English proficiency. Eligible candidates who are unable to provide results of the specified English test may be accepted to the program with the approval of the department.

The applicants must possess a Master of Engineering degree in Polymer Science and Engineering or equivalent degree with permission from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Silpakorn University.

Type 1.2 Thesis equivalent to 72 credits

The applicants must possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree with excellent academic performance in Petrochemicals and Polymeric Materials or equivalent degree with permission from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Silpakorn University.

2.   Type 2 (Thesis and additional courses)

Type 2.1 Thesis equivalent to 36 credits and 12 additional course credits

The applicants must possess a Master of Engineering degree in Polymer Science and Engineering or equivalent degree with permission from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Silpakorn University.

Type 2.2 Thesis equivalent to 48 credits and 27 additional course credits

The applicants must possess a Bachelor of Engineering degree with excellent academic performance in Petrochemicals and Polymeric Materials or equivalent degree with permission from the

3.  Applicants for program plans described in 1. and 2. must have good English reading, writing

and speaking abilities as demonstrated by passing the required English examination, conducted by Silpakorn University as part of the admission test. The applicants can be exempted from the foreign language test by presenting evidence from other tests such as:

(1) TOEFL score of at least 500 (paper based) or at least 173 (computer based) or at

least 61 (Internet based), or

(2) IELTS score of at least 5.5, or

(3) TOEIC score of at least 625, or

(4) CU-TEP score of at least 60, or

(5) TU-GET score of at least 45

The test scores must have been achieved within two years of the date of admission to the program. Exceptionally, applicants who cannot submit an English test score before the date of admission may be accepted for the Ph.D. program with the permission of the Department of

Materials Science and Engineering under the condition of fulfilling the English requirement within

the period of study according to the plan for each program.
